My lil sunshine was born on 11 /02/2011 at 1100hrs, KKH TPS -Delivery Suite Labor Ward 8 by specialist gynea Dr. Irene Chua. Alhamdulilah, normal birth for me.
My lil dear son weight at 3.4KG, 48CM length. Aww so tiny lil baby boy...
It was unexpected that I was admitted on the day I went for specialist checkup for my asthma. Actually I wanted to give it a miss because I'm too lazy to go. And the worst part was I have to make 2 trip there, thursday for my asthma checkup and friday is my gynea checkup (38week). But hubby told me to go since it will be my last checkup for the asthma specialist. So I drag myself to work, and apply time off at 12 noon. I told hubby to accompany me on friday instead on gynea visit. (So he can see the ultra scan lah) I went to Novena to have my lunch as usual at Long John Silver, then took the feeder bus to KKH. Nothing much till I reach KKH clinic A at 2.30pm, and Dr.Jackie Tan requested me to do the whole final checkup. Everything was fine, but my BP was really HIGH 167, 134,166... She run 5 test for my BP, and all was different result... Like haywire!!! And it's the longest checkup I ever had with her... She notice that my legs was badly swollen due to water retention. Finally at 4pm, she suggested me to be admitted due to BP prob, and advise me to have induce labor.
I called hubby and told him that I will be admitted due to BP and Dr.Jackie Tan will inform my gynea on advise induce labor. He f reak out! But I told him it's not confirm about the labor yet because my gynea will check on me first then will decide lah. So I told him not to kan chong spider, just dropby after work and bring all my stuff too.
I was admitted at B1 class bedroom (4 bedded). At 5pm, my gynea arrived to do the cervix check. GUESS WHAT?? She looked at me and said,"Wahh you can beranak ready, you dilate 5CM"... I was so shocked and speechless. I didnt expected it today, i mean right now... Then she said,"No need induce lah, normal birth can?" and next she asked me really cute question," so when you want to beranak? tomorrow date is nicer 11/02/2011, morning you can give birth already". Im still in shock state but im happy that the day finally arrived. hehehe... So I agreed to give birth on 11 feb 2011.
I immediately called my hubby... HE TOTALLY FREAK OUT! when I told him I was 5CM dilated. HAHAHA!!! And he said, luckily I didnt give birth at work....I told him I didnt expected too because I was planning to go to BHG bugis after the asthma checkup...heehee!
So he rushed to KKH, and stay with me all time. And at 10pm, I told him Im craving for chapati and teh susu... He rush down to tekka, most of the shop already close. Luckily sakunthala still open, so he manage to get me the chapati and teh susu. And that's my 9mth final craving!
After I had my chapati supper, both of us try to get to sleep. I didnt sleep well, because my tummy having mild contraction. At 2.30AM, I wake my hubby up because I having bad contraction, I tahan till 3.30AM. Finally hubby decided to call the nurse, and that's when I was push to labor ward. The midwives check my cervix and it still 5CM. So I requested for epidural because I need to relax my muscle. Honestly the contraction is very mild, I can tahan but the opening will slow down if I didnt take epidural. At 6AM, I was given the epidural and soon after I fall asleep till 7AM when my gynea arrived to check my cervix and it was 6 cm.
I didnt realize that my gynea broke my waterbag too. Mybe I was too sleepy and tired, and didnt hear what she was saying. I told hubby to have his breakfast because later my gynea might want me to start pushing and I dont want him to faint. HAHAHA !So he went down, and I continue to sleep till 8.30AM... By 9.45am, my midwive check my cervix and it dilated 9.5cm... She told me to get ready by 10am to start pushing. At 10.05am i have dilated 10.5cm, she teach me how to push. And it wasnt a easy task to do, it required mental strenght too.
After 20 times pushing, finally hubby saw baby hair... He immediately took out his jacket, and said to me "I saw baby hair, I cant breath" He was really overwhelm when he saw a small spot (size of 10cents) of his lil junior hair... He encourage me to push harder and he got too excited that instead of supporting my head and push back my leg... he push down my head too!!!! Now I cant breath!!!! hahaha!!!! Then the midwive asked me to put a time target. She suggested how about by 10.50am I give birth. I told her maybe 11.02am hehehe aiya want nice number only what... But after so many time pushing I told her I want it out now!!!! I start to feel the pain about 10.50am... I cant describe the pain....
OMG!!!! I cant even take the instruction given by the midwives anymore!!!!Now epidural have gone!!! The contraction pain was unbelievable!!!!Hubby saw how much pain I went through but he still having me encouragement and hold me tight. At 10.57am, my gynea came and told me she have to cut coz the baby head is too big... Thanks for letting me know, if I can run I would!!! My hand grabbing the bedsheet and mental strenght really testing me. The minute she snip it, and I have my maximum ultimate push, my baby finally "fly out" of me...And everyone turn their head back on me... You know why?? To see the big digital clock behind them... It was 1100 hrs my baby was born into this world
I heard his cries, and hubby was excited and teary too... He cut the cord and TADAA!! He became a daddy now.... ILHANZ PUTRA MUHD HIDAYAT weight 3.4KG 48CM at 38 weeks and 2 days pregnancy.
Alhamdulilah, no one believe that I can have a normal birth due to my asthma. And no one believe that just 1 hr of pushing I have give birth to my lil son... One word to describe is MIRACLE BABY... He was so easy to deliver and it was so unexpected he is so CUTE!!!!!
Now my lil ilhanz a month old, he have a boyish look... Just like his daddy :) Look at his big round eyes, he extremely cuteness baby boy!!
My words to ilhanz.... My only lil baby boy, you are the only one I adore and love now. Learning about you every minute and every time. Everything change since you arrived, now I know what the feel like to have you in my arm... I will make sure you grow up to be a good person, intelligent boy... Mummy will work hard for you my sunshine. Promise me you will be a successful person okay :) Mummy proud of you always!! Love you so much.My words to my hubby.... Thank you for supporting me through out the labor... Without you I wont have te strength to pull through. I love you even more now. But promise me, no more baby till 2015 okay :p hehehe.......
